I left the door open just in case someone that I’ve been longing to see comes back. Someone that I’ve been yearning to touch, to love, and to care about. A figure that I have always been relying on, a figure that was there when no one else was. A person who used to have, yet still has a special place in my heart who disappeared without saying anything and the only thing that I got in return while I was dumbfounded, waiting and waiting like the loyal puppy I am, was the deafening silence that I couldn’t bear—the deafening silence I never heard from our conversations, our laughter that never failed to make me smile even while laying down on the bed, trying to fall asleep. Yet there I am, laying down on my bed, having a hard time sleeping because of the sudden disappearance that never left my mind. The thought of you talking to me in such a lovely way makes me feel euphoric, yet drained. Please, come back, I’m still yearning, and I always will.
