Common Struggles Unique Horrors

We are born with a saturation from the spectrum, an imperfect and tentative six digit code that never quite finds its pair. Only 16.7 million possibilities exist and yet to encounter a similar one in humanity so big would be nothing short of a miracle.
Hex code byte values range from 00, which is the lowest intensity of a color, to FF which represents the highest intensity. The color white, for example, is made by mixing each of the three primary colors at their full intensity, resulting in the Hex color code of #FFFFFF.
As children our palettes are undefined and subject to change; as elements of higher intensity are added, we become more defined with age, comfortable in our own skin, and more acceptable towards whichever shade of red, blue, and green we got. As time takes its toll, we refine what we were born with, we undergo varied intensity of additions to our individual spectrum. But, sometimes it doesn’t turn out great, and we have to commit to begin from the beginning.
That's where life starts for some: they create a blend more unique than what they got, fueled by wants and desires a new colour is born, far superior to its predecessor.
However, when this exploration goes wrong, a horrid hue with intensities so incompatible is formed — it makes us want to give up, it feels intoxicated, incapable of the sweet and sublime. Another eternity begins when the desire to redo it all takes over, to become someone the child in us would be proud of.
Meanwhile we drown with the weight of what-ifs: the likelihood of no greater luminance, the possibility that efforts are futile, and the impending unasked question of the future. Say all goes well and we make a truce with our reality and human desires — what would become of us then, when no corrections remain to be made, standing still in a world where change is the law?
We look around and see the hustle bustle, the growing old and being born, the fading away without a mark, the fame you never asked for, the loneliness in existing, the fear of disappearing, and seeing peace in stagnancy and peace in change. In deciding which path to follow, we are distraught, captured in the illusion of two choices when the trick is to make either our own. We feel a desire to find another person who sees these shades, speaks our language and listens without being told. We fail often — the end never promises consolation — and life may be spent translating your hex codes to a language you don't speak.
We again begin to remedy ourselves to suit our aspirations, to keep people in our lives, to make them smile even when we have different intensity of blue, green, and red. We try to walk paths nobody thought we would and each comes with its own set of storms. We try to sate our desires, we try to be human.
