Land Above

What if we are the stars and we paint the blank canvas which is the earth. We’ve never noticed anything different as we’ve invaded here for a lifetime, all swarmed to the sacred land called earth which we’ve learnt to claim as our own, our world. We never notice the evil, we regularly ignore the good, we dream of another land where we could break free of our own rules and live in a complete constellation. That’s why on nights where the sun gives up on illuminating the evil of humanity and a throw of darkness is feeding us what we cook, we stare at the only bit of light visible and yearn to be a part of them. We watch them in their solemn state, refusing to answer our begs and pleads, but also resistant to leave us submerged in our own hell. We wish to escape our own doing, we wish to not accept any blame, we wish to be far away, but what if the stars think the same? What if they are screaming for our attention, begging to fall down? What if the sky is so dark from all their sins so they had no other choice but to shine so they don’t drown in their own damage? Whatever we don’t have we want, we expected the sky of grace to be perfect as they expected the same thing. There’s still time to change but we’re a generation of dreamers, we wish, not achieve.
